For may users the immense detail and accuracy of the full AA Automaps data set is not required. The 1:500,000 scale data set provides the accuracy of the 1:200,000 set but with the range of features associated with a 1:500,000 scale paper map. Suitable for mapping at county level. The recommended data set for users unsure of the level of detail required. Users may optionally upgrade to the full 1:200,000 scale data set at a later date.

AA Automaps GB (1:1,200,000 small scale mapping)
A highly selective sub-set of the full AA data. The 1:1,200,000 scale data is designed for users undertaking broad country wide analyses or printing maps of Britain at A4 or A3 size. Comprises motorways with junctions, selected A roads showing single and dual carriageways, highly generalised coastline and a gazetteer of 500 towns.

A superb Central London street map covering an area from Shepherds Bush to the Blackwall Tunnel and Regents Park to Battersea Park. It has been compiled from the latest aerial photographs, checked on the ground and enhanced and optimised.
